I’m almost finished with this trilogy.  It was good, but a little too battle-heavy for my liking.

I do enjoy fantasy books, but I like when they’re not too focused on mass combat.  One-on-one stuff is fine, but it gets heavy.

I’m in a good spot right now, although a slightly uncertain one.

In the next few months the following is going to happen:

• Moving to a new house.  Luke and I are super excited about this, and we have our rental application in at a lovely little home in North Park.  If all goes well, we’ll be able to move in by February 15th (which I’ve just realized is only a month away now…)
• Getting a new dog!  We’re still deciding on whether we want to adopt a pit bull/staffie/american bulldog from a rescue, or if we want to buy a baby French Bulldog from a breeder.
• Finding a new home for my horse.  I’ve came to the conclusion that I’m not able to give Finn the time that he needs to rehab and be a ridable horse again.  It’s frustrating to me, but I need to make the decision before I spend even money on him.
• Some changes at work.  All good things for me, opportunities for advancement, leadership.  I’ve been made a ‘boss’ of someone, which is a new experience for me at this company.  It feels good, and I’m eager to move up in my career.

I’m excited for all the change, it’s the kind of thing I’m really into.  The next few months I should have plenty to blog about…..
